Yamaha FZ-09 ABS Model Availability?

Has anyone noticed that there has been no mention anywhere, not even on Yamaha's website, of an ABS FZ-09? With a bike like this, I think ABS is needed and should be only a matter of time till we see it being officially announced.

According to Yamaha ABS is not available. Discussions on one of our other forums about this:

Dark Side of Japan/ Yamaha FZ-09 Triple discussion - Page 15 - Suzuki SV650 Forum: SV650, SV1000, Gladius Forums

The user's suggestion:
"Just got off the phone with Yamaha Motor Corp in California. I called to tell them how much I thought they had a great bike at a great performance/price point and how disappointed I was that it doesn't offer ABS, even as an option. Customer Rep suggested I write to:
Yamaha Motor Corp., USA
6555 Katella Ave
Cypress, CA 90630-5101
and express my concerns. She also suggested that the more letters, the better. "

im starting to think it's just going to be a matter of time till ABS becomes available for the FZ-09, how can they not include it at all on this bike. With that one person contacting Yamaha, just maybe it will be one of the things needed to push them to go through with it.

It's not a HUGE deal to me. I wouldn't have gotten the ABS model anyways but with all this talk of making ABS mandatory I am surprised its not an option for a bike of this class.

ABS vs no ABS is huge difference when it comes to safety. It should be mandatory. People who don't get it when it is an option are just being cheap.

If you live in the northern states it might make sense for you to wait till 2014 to order a FZ-09 ABS since the very first FZ-09's come out around october. Rather wait than seeing a bike sitting in my garage for months before I can even ride it.
