My biggest complaint about the FZ...

I have a horrible time just getting the key in the ignition switch. They have it buried too well. Windscreen makes it worse.

??? just about the same as my FZ 1. Practice I guess.

Oh and those stupid plastic push pins everywhere. Is there any easy way to get them.out without boogering up all the plastic?

AKohler883 09-11-2015 08:07 AM

Silly me. Just push the center. Whoever invented that was a genius.
I remember when these came out. Had them on all my 80's GM cars. Had to use a screwdriver then.

The horn switch is at the opposite side of the thumb....
If I only had larger or extended thumb......
I mean, can you really press the clutch lever and horn switch at the same time?

The Horn Switch. Whoever was responsible should be flayed. When in traffic and my "6th Sense" kicks in, I practically palm the control assembly so I can, inadequately, cover the horn button and clutch simultaneously. I avoid traffic regardless. Takes the fun out of riding

The reconfiguration of the switch gear, specifically the horn button placement, should be in violation of law. The placement makes it impossible to use the horn in an emergency situation. I wish Yamaha would be forced to do a recall and install normal switch gear.

Just bought a used fz09 last weekend. It only took me 22km before getting arrested... I was trying to figure out how to not wheelie on A mode lol
