I'm with Markel with a total of 4 bikes insured. They quoted me $1300 +/- per year. In all honesty I have beefed up medical and uninsured and underinsured coverage. I said no, paid off the bike and got liability- uninsured and underinsured only. $350 per year. I'm 57 with perfect driving record. My 09 BMW RT with same limits plus full coverage is only $475 per year.

I just switched to Geico from State Farm when I bought the bike. In NH (where I'm located) Geico can't write motorcycle policies unless you have an auto policy. My car+the FZ were cheaper through Geico than just my car through State Farm. Honestly I should have switched a while ago, I could have been saving almost $250/year.

Anyway, my bike policy through Geico is about $280/year. I'm 28 with a perfect record. Full coverage with a $500 deductible on everything.

Live in WV and just purchased full coverage from riders insurance with 250 deductible and uninsured motorists with theft and fire and it costs me 208 annually. I was shocked. Every where else was in the mid 600 to 1k range.
