Head shake at 100+mph help

Hey guys, just have a question, I am getting a good head shake at over 100mph on my '15 FZ-09. I can lighten my grip on the bars and manage it but I still notice it at that speed. I have lowered ride height and made suspension adjustments but I still can't shake it. Is a steering damper my only answer to this issue?

If your on a track then yes a steering damper will help. If your on the roads that we all drive on to go about our daily lives. Slowing down is the best solution.

I thought about getting a dampener as well coming from GSX R 600. I will probably one day at the moment $500 is a little much for the dampener they sell that is the top quality for the FZ-09.

Hello all. I have a 2015 and recently came across a triple digit head shake shortly after I had a new front tire fitted. I brought the wheel\tire back to the Yamaha dealer for rebalance. They assured me that it was balanced. They expressed that this is common after a new tire has been fitted. Apparently the steering head bearings 'wear in' to the first tire and don't react well with the new one. They suggest loosening the steering head nuts and resetting them and torquing them to a slightly higher value than stock. I'm skeptical as I've put about 15,000 miles on an R6 and 22,000 miles on an R1 and never had anything like this happen before. I'm going to perform this adjustment soon. However, being winter in Wisconsin, I won't be able to report my findings for a while. Let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions.
