Awesome. I am buying one. I assume they make the factory 'Yamaha comfort seat'. but there are too many decorative seems on the Yamaha version. Seems equal rub spots. Might be more expensive than the Yamaha comfort seat. But my passenger not complaining is worth a lot more than an extra 100 bucks. I have to live with her ;-)

Shad said that they do not make the factory 'comfort seat'. Apparently that is just a common term. My seat will arrive today. Hoping to take a ride on ot Sunday. Will give pictures and review later.

Got the Seat Concepts 2-up seat with the tailbone channel done. It was a big improvement over the stock seat when I had my low bars on. On hard acceleration it held me in real well too. I just changed out the low bars and put the stock ones back on (that hard lean forward was fun, but not great for longer rides). Now the bike looks a lot less cool, but the seat makes even a bigger comfort difference. With luggage, this thing could long trips now.

They do make a Yamaha OEM accessory "Comfort" seat... just sold mine. same seat base as the stock seat, softer cushion, much nicer appearance than stock with nice stitching and materials, and a tag on the side which states COMFORT.

I finally got tracking for my Corbin seat. It has only been 4 long weeks waiting, and now one more for it to get here. I hope it solves the falling on the tank problem.

It's finally here and now it is raining like heck. It looks really nice and felt good to sit on. The texture really does remind you of an ostrich since the surface has that plucked bird feel. The welt actually is navy blue, just the pics are crappy in the dim garage behind the Cyclops. I cannot wait to try it. I like the seating position and the front seems to agree with what Michael Pierre said.

Ok, I hurried home to sneak a ride in between the rain drops yesterday. Instantly, upon leaving my driveway I started to think the seat was made for me. (guess it was, paid to have options I wanted) I did a quick ride around the neighborhood and noticed a big difference. No falling forward during stopping, and no pressure on the "taint" any longer. It feels like you are sitting on your butt like normal. It does feel a tad taller, which would make sense since the pad seems thicker. It is a bit heavier too. It dropped in place on the bike the first try and without issue. No tool stowage like the stocker though. It is firm, which Corbin always mentions. I cannot wait to rail this thing around the ramps with a seat that keeps you in place. Last Sunday I took a guy with me riding the FZ1 I was selling and did a few around the clover leaf. I actually felt like I was on a hopity hop. I had the stock seat and airhawk with almost no air. The guy I was with races dirt bikes and does lots of track days on an sv650. He followed and later commented on what a good rider i am. I blushed a little and said thanks. If he thought I could ride while feeling like I was doing the moon bounce I imagine it will be better with this seat. For inquiring minds, there is 6'3" and 245lbs on the seat for your reference. If the seat holds up I will again keep Corbin in the front end for choices. The seat they made for the FZ1 felt like a cinder block under a bare bottom. That was back in 2002. I haven't given them another glance until now. They seem to care about bikes that are not Harleys now and the quality and construction seems much more thought out.(called them about issues and they basically blew me off) I am happy with this major purchase though. Hope this helps others that might be interested.
