New Girl

Hi, everyone! Just joined the forum to see what everyone has done with/to their 09's. I have a 2016 Blue FZ09. I've only had a chance to ride it a handful of times, and to be honest, I'm not a seasoned rider so it stays in "B" mode =0) that is until my husband, the Super Duke rider, takes it for a spin and wheelie. I love the bike so far, making some cosmetic changes mostly so far, but, a M4 slip on exhaust is coming soon.

Hi, Im an A moder all the time, at 68 and 55 years of riding I know what I like and I love my 09. It will stay as it came from the factory. We have a traditional new years day ride through the country ( in theory the law enforcements are all in bed after serving up the night before) I rode my FZ, there were 50+ of us all seasoned riders, every kind of bike from Ducati 1099 to Harley baggers. The organiser and leader was on......a mid 90s stock KLR 650. The ride is very technical with hills, hairpins, switchbacks etc. I was running 60-90mph to keep in the hunt, the 3rd guy back was on a Goldwing, I was about 10 back. No incidents, no offs all stayed within 3-4 bike lengths. All to say mods are ok to say we have them but the main focus should be on skill sets, honing your skills on the bike what brung ya. And no more wheelies.

And hence the issue with group rides....

Anyway, congratulations on the new bike.

Skip the M4 and go with a full system right away. Come time to sell, convert back to stock and you have a nice full system to sell. Just my .02 worth.....
