I bought a spare RH & LH blinker housing and the wiring for the clearance lights off Partshark. You can pick up the orange clearance bulbs at any auto store. I cut the new wires up and wired on the connectors for the blinker ends, simple.

Then the tricky stuff. I used dremmell to cut the stalky bits that the blinkers attach to off the new side bits. Used some expanding foam to fill the hole, once dried I cut and sanded to shape and then bogged it and sanded it smooth......about five times to get it close to perfect, a coat or five of spray putty and more sanding and then covered it with a matt black vinyl wrap.

LED TURN SIGNAL RUNNING LIGHT
I actually purchased these lights for my FZ 09. I like the addition of break lights for the rear and you have two options of brightness for the while strip in the front for the running lights. What I did was hooked the "dimmer white" wire up to my running lights, which is still bright. then I tied the "brighter white" wire in with the "turn" wire on the front so it runs the lighter white bar for running but when turn signal is turned on, it flashes the brighter white along with the yellow on the end to be more eye popping. In hopes people will see and less likely to pull out in front of you...... hopes that is. Rear set is similar in that it has a dimmer red running light and gets a lot brighter when brake is applied and turns on the out side portion of light.

I really like them and will be posting pics when entire project is done.

Currently painting the Ermax rear seat cowl, rear tire shield, and the Ermax radiator scoops Rapid Red. Headlight is also over at AHR getting updated. Full Graves exhaust, PCV/Auto-tune, and ECU reflash was installed earlier this week.

Hiper-Lites

Like most of the rest of the FZ owners, I hate the bouncing "lemon drumstick" turn signals that Yamaha must have had left over from the 70's. I wanted something bright, hi-viz, and easy to install. I've had a LED stop light bar on the license plate of my FJR for years and it really gets the cager's attention.
I found Hiper-Lites (http://www.hyperlites.com/index.html)and went with them. I mounted a set of their 3-way brake /running/turn signals at the rear and their amber turns on the front. The 3-way combined with my LUPUS tail light really grabs your eye.
The 3-way are programmable for different patterns and cost $98.95 and come with all the wiring instructions and enough Posi-locks and Posi-taps to easily connect them. The amber turns for the front were $49.95 with Posi-Locks and taps.

I purchased these, and am waiting for them.

Plus other little things like a brighter head light, bar end mirrors, a windscreen, etc.

They have 3M doubleside tape on one side of the case. I stuck them on the angled sides of the tail light to keep it all compact.

I just added some Yamaha LED indicators to the rear, and tidied it all up a bit by relocating them and moving the plate up closer.

Which Rizoma turn signals would you choose?

Trying to decided between the Rizoma "ZERO" blinkers, or the Rizoma "GRAFFIO" signals..... what do you think? Either one is WAY better looking than stock....not to mention BRIGHTER!
