Problems removing seat

Anyone facing issues removing the seat? I turn the key as directed in the manual and I have to struggle to open it...and last few times i tried, I couldn't! I at least managed to instal a gorilla alarm before the darn seat got stuck! Is there a trick I am missing?

lift up and pull back. I usually have a harder time re-installing the seat.

Yes it's a little tricky. I don't have my technique perfected, yet.

It's the loose nut pulling on the seat.

My seat comes right off. Turn key lift up and back on the seat. To reinstall line up the front with the tank, lower the back of seat down making sure the round rubber grommets on the bottom of the seat fit inside the plastic body piece with the fz-09 sticker then push down and forward to latch. Seems pretty straight forward. Maybe your latch plate the lock moves to release the seat isn't mounted correctly.

So, I finally managed to get it open last weekend and thankfully this trick has worked so far.
My new technique- turn key, lift seat off the lock and then with open palms or bottom of fists firmly hit the two ends of the rider's portion of the seat. The motion should be from front to the back of the bike. This pops the seat open immediately which springs out of whatever is holding it down. Its definitely the oddest way I have had to employ to open a motorcycle seat!

When I put my seat on if your sitting on it the right side it's looser than the left side where the passenger sits.I can't figure why the right side is loose I can see the hook go up and down but it inthe square hole very weird. It doesn't move forward or back wards but where the passenger sits its loose up and down.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
