Long story short here... the 2009-13 FZ6R use the same filter (my other ride). When I call my local Cycle Gear they didn't have the bike in file and couldn't cross reference the Yamaha PN#... so I had to do the work.

Came here to report that the Wix 51365 didn't work on my 2015 FZ-09. They even had it cross referenced with the K&N 204 at the store, which is what I had on the bike before.

When I put it on, the threads bottomed before the seal and I didn't notice. Ended up pumping oil out onto the garage floor when I fired it up! Went back and paid the extra $ for the K&N.

the bosch 3300 threads are too close the the seal (left picture), the yamaha threads are another half inch below the seal (right picture), so be careful when buying a filter, i ended up with a napa 1348 (deep reset threads, good) and was able to compare to an NAPA 1365 (shallow reset threads, bad) and it was the same issue. good luck
