Rear brake shoe insulator and shins

Seems like most folk on this site like EBC HH sintered shoes on there FZ. Do y'all install the stock shins and insulators from stock shoes?

I just took the shins and insulators off because i see metal shavings(rotor) on Blurple's. I know the shins and insulators cut back on squeaky shoes but mine rub more on rotor.

What am I doing wrong?

sorry, rear brake pad shim and rear brake pad insulators. Do you reuse them after replacing your rear brake pads(not shoes)

I have never used shims with brake pads, the pistons should hold the pads near to the rotor.

Garage
everything that came out, should go back.
besides controlling noise, the shim and insulator are designed to help keep the heat from the pads from heating up the pistons, and in turn, the brake fluid
